An Integrated Process Planning System Based on Feature Recognition

چکیده
In the present paper based on feature recognition algorithms and data extraction from IGES files, an integrated process planning system (CAPP) is introduced. The classification of workpiece features and with their aid the workpiece process plan are automatically determined. The developed CAPP system considers the part machinability as well as the existing in a factory facilities, it is independent from the used CAD program and compatible with any CAD/CAPP/CAM system.
